Sorry to hear about your loss, I also have BBQ dogs and have lost a couple others in the past.
 
It's always tough when you lose a family member.

But it looks like he had a great time next to the pit while he was here.
 
I lost my best friend just a few months ago.  Hands down the best dog I've ever known.  Passed away on my lap and my wife and I cried like babies.  We found him in the pound at the ripe old age of 10 weeks old and had him for 13 and a half years.

I truly feel your pain and hope you revel in the memories of the joy your friend brought over the years.
