Hey guys. I am pretty new to forum.. wanted some suggestions on smoking/cooking some elk steaks on my stump clone. Will be doing burgers on it also Saturday for my daughters birthday? Saturday is when I am cooking. Thanks and God bless.
 
What's a Stump Clone? Grill? Smoker? Both? What's your goal? Pulled Elk or med/rare steak? Can you be more detailed about what you are looking for and what your equipment can do. We are happy to help...JJ

I'd recommend cherry, kiawe pecan. Not in that order.l

Hot and fast for the burgers.

Low and slow for the elk, with a reverse sear to finish.

Cook to IT so you don't overcook! Especially the elk!
