Reno's rib fest

Have any of you ever been to the best of the west rib contest. The Golden Nugget has put this on for years. 2007 was the wife and I first time, what a blast. So manny styles of smokers let a lone the secret rubs an sauces. Theres live bands & beer. We had so much fun were going to hit it again this year.

I went a couple years ago and had a real hard time finding parking. got soooo fet-up

I left. next time I'll stay at the nugget and walk to the event.

ive been goin every year for i dont know how long. its right down the street from me! always have had a great time and they get some pretty decent band to show up. parking does suck

but ive learned to just take a cab for a couple bucks. the ribs are alittle pricey 5 bucks for three bones

so its easy to spent a c-note in an afternoon with all the ribs and booze!

Parking was definately challenging to say the least. This year were going in a cab as well just for that reason. Those little rib tasters are spendy but some are really good. Maui wowie was the one we enjoyed the most. Chicago was well not worth mentioning except to say, we won't eat there again. Really lookin forward to it this year

I agree with both you and Dozer. Parking sucks ... unless you ride a harley. Then it's not so bad .... prices seem to go up each year, but the bones are good (along w/ the guinness ... which we buy at Paddys - in your pic). Looking forward to labor day again this year !!
