Does anybody use a remote temp probe when making sausage. I would like to be able to put a probe in my snack stix so I know when they are at the right internal temp without opening and closing the door to keep checking. Can you recommend one that works for you.

I like the maverick as well there are two versions out there, one is water resistant, I would recommend that one over the the standard version.

also I think it is a good idea to get a true instant read thermometer so that when your  remote thermometer tells you the one your monitoring is at temp you can check the other sticks too before you consider them all to have reached the proper IT
