I still make Scarbelly's injected & smoked hot wings at least once a year. The go fast during the Superbowl.
Bearcarver's recipes are my go-to for all things bacon.
I had the opportunity to meet scarbelly when we lived in Savannah, good time we had.

How far back do we go with something like this there have been many in the past who do you think taught all those you want to remember, Do you think they knew everything when they arrived here?
Sorry it's a good thought but would be very hard to actually do without forgetting many who should be remembered

Good point Jerry! I honestly hadn’t thought of that. My mind works in a different way!

So, please a mod delete this. It was just a thought… but not all my thoughts come to fruition. And that’s ok! Thanks for the consideration.

You Mods are what keep this site together and appreciate each and every one of you! Without you, we would not have a site that is as appreciated as you all keep it!

Keep on keeping on! Mods… you all are amazing!

No don't delete anything... Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it. Just, in this case, it's a little different. Here if the history is forgotten, we get to make the 100 batches of something terrible trying to figure out the secret, when someone from the past already went through that and was kind enough to offer up their solution to the problem. I vote we remember, even if my vote doesn't count for much due to my lack of seniority here.

Jerry, point taken. What about a sub forum? Seems we have a sub for a lot of things… why not them?

Then every generation so to speak can add recipes they love from past members?!

If I am out of line, my apologizes. Just a thought.

I really like how someone has gone and put Gone but not forgotten in their avatar. If I remember Bear was the king of prime rib. I've tried his recipes so many times and still can't get it quite like he does!

I would appreciate a remembrance thread controlled by moderators alone.
No relies by anyone to be cheerleaders.
I see it as a link to search their threads. The search feature needs exact user name.
Come to think of it, is there a moderator listing thread? Forgive me if I haven't searched everywhere. I barely get through recent posts these days

Brian @bmudd14474 went up and beyond to search for the passing of Dave from Omak @daveomak to update his member status (avatar) after he disappeared from the forum.
There is a lot of departed members that remain unknown to update their status.
