Hey gang,
Made my first pastrami a month or so ago and the reheating of it in a steam bath worked fantastic. Seems like it would be a great way to reheat regular brisket. Anyone ever done this. Pros and cons?

I have not tried that. I like to save the drippings from the brisket and then put some in a pan with the cold brisket and heat it up in the juice.

Great flavor and does not cook it to much more.

We like to heat it up in a pan with brown gravy and have with mashed potatoes.
I've also warmed in a container in a microwave to make sandwiches. I guess I'm not that picky :D

I smoked one last year and served on sat of memorial day weekend. The guests left around 10 pm. About 11pm storm rolled thru blew a large oak over that took out the power lines. Evening 2 of 4 with out power I was digging thru the coolers that contained our fridge contents. Found the left over brisket. Sliced and pan fried with butter over the fire pit. Then some eggs. Best brisket egg cheese sandwich ever had. Wife loved it also.
