Awesome design @seenred
That looks like an absolute pleasure to cook on. Amazing.
Joined the forum recently and really enjoyed this thread! I'm from South Africa and open fire cooking is how we do it, so builds like this is so cool to see. Bit late to the party, but thanks so much for sharing Red!

Thanks Red. I now call HOU, TX my home. I will be sure to provide input and learn more about proper smoking methods as I explore this forum. Can you provide me with a link to Jim's cooking thread on that bad boy?Hello @FrannaM and welcome to our little corner of the web! And thank you for the kind words! That build was a lot of fun, and it's been fun seeing Jim - the new owner - cooking on it.
No sure how many members we have from South Africa. Looking forward to your input here! Like many of our members, I'm always looking to learn more about differing styles of live fire cooking...so I hope you'll post threads showing off your methods and techniques!

She's hot and cooks like a dream. Planning on really loading her up this weekend for my...www.smokingmeatforums.com
Red
Red, if you were to make another one, what would you do differently or what kind of upgrades could you make?
having a "santa maria" grill is a need, and I mean a NEED NEED, type of need grill...... I know I'm not helping.....I have been thinking about building something similar, and seeing your craftsmanship, is fueling that itch.
Biggest thing I worry about is, will I actually use it enough to justify building it, or is this something I want for the sake of want, and to have yet another project.
