Maybe a road trip is in your future? I know I’d make one if he’d build me one too. But I’m afraid the waiting list is too long, I’ll be long gone by the time it’s my turn.

It's never too late for a road trip, my friend! No waiting lists here, Brother! I do 'em one at a time, and so far that's all I have going is just one at a time. It's a hobby, not a business or a side hustle, so it's not really like I'm taking orders or anything lol. If you decided you wanted something built, all ya gotta do it let me know and we'll see what we can come up with!

I have grandad stuff going this weekend, but wanted to make a quick post to update on what I got done in the shop yesterday. I finished the brasero, and got it welded to the side of the grill.

Here's what I came up with for the front face of the brasero. This should keep the logs/fire tamed and allow for easy access to add more logs/splits.

I also trimmed out the top with some angle iron to give it a little more of a finished look.

And here it is welded in place on the left side of the grill.

Should be plenty of room to shovel coals out of the bottom of the brasero after the firebricks are in place.

It'll probably be Monday before I get back in the shop, but the "to-do" list is getting shorter! The biggest job left is to finish the grate truss, work on the wheel and ratchet assembly, and fabricate the cooking grate. I also need to build a side table for the right side of the grill cabinet...but all-in-all, this project is reaching the home stretch!

Thanks for stopping by Friends!

My Kanka rotisserie grill will go perfectly over that brasero.

Many oh man.....thats some real deal cooking right there!!!

I've not seen a Kanka before, I WANT!

Yeah, I wasn’t familiar with those either until Jim showed ‘em to me. Very cool little gadget - kinda high-tech caveman style lol! 🤣. And Jim’s right - that will work nicely over this brasero!

I stumbled across my first one on a auction website. It's DC power so it can be setup anywhere you can build a fire. 6 AA batteries or has a ac to dc adapter.
