Congratulations on your purchase! You’re going to love it! Unless something has changed Recteq doesn’t include a physical copy of an owner’s manual. There wasn’t a whole lot of extra stuff or paperwork in the box. There wasn’t an index card in a bag with a QR code that would take you to the owner’s manual. You can download and save it to your phone or computer for quick referenceBy chance for those of you that have recently bought an R.T cooker, what comes in the box, are their directions or a manual? I want to make sure I get all the paper work.
Thank you.
Dan
Most likely ribs, I have to figure out the cooker before my next rib contest. Although I have 5 three bone beef plate in the freezer so you never know. I'm excited to see the comparison between my old Camp Chef and the new R.T.Congrats! What’s first - toast , chicken thighs or straight to ribs?
Guess I went backwards, I finally got an offset this year. I don’t mind it yet, it’s the newness of it I guess. Most likely ribs, I have to figure out the cooker before my next rib contest. I found a home for the old Camp Chef, I'm giving it to the lady next door.
Now to sell the off set, I'm done with tending coal in 100*+ heat.
I only used it 3 to 5 times last summer because of that, the thing is still damn near new.
My first smoker was a cheap offset. I don't miss pulling those all-nighters.
I started MANY yrs ago on an offset, owned several, it was fun back then. Then I went to a drum smoker, then pellet pooper, back to an offset, can't stand babysitting it anymore, so I'm back to a bigger pellet pooper, still use the drum for some things, but I use a PID stoker unit on it. 90% of my smoking is 90 to 100* + summer heat, and I just don't enjoy sweating over coals for hours on end anymore, so it's back to pellets and chunk wood for now. We'll see how long it lasts this time around.Guess I went backwards, I finally got an offset this year. I don’t mind it yet, it’s the newness of it I guess.
