I have read reviews and looked around the web. I would like to purchase my first "mail order" brisket. I have done fairly well with local grocery (Wal-mart, Kroger) along with Costco. I want to step things up, try a prime or Waygu or hybrid.

What do you recommend? Wild Fork? Porter Road, Meat n' Bone, Allen Brothers? I'm concerned about buying something sight unseen. I have had steaks from Omaha Steaks but that was a gift with no risk.

Thanks in advance,
RG

Never tried any online service but I'd shop around for free shipping or coupon offers. Many here have experience with those ypu mentioned and can help offer advice.
I know Myron Mixon website offers 10% off for Snake River Farms. That's my plan for a Wagyu.

Take a look at Piedmontese or KC Cattle Co (vet owned & run)
Maybe take a short trip up to Creston, Oh and Whitefeather Meats. Home of the Bearded Butchers.

Wild Fork does free shipping for first order. I ordered some steaks from them once. I ordered them for a coworker that helped me out. The bad part was FedEx didn't deliver on-time and meat was bad. But wild fork replaced it and shipped more, same day I contacted them. Unfortunately I still haven't tried it myself.

Keith, I forgot about SRF. I did poke around Mixons site an could not find a discount code do you happen to know where to find it?

Thanks
RG

I popped in there a couple times. Crazy good selection but the prices on whole muscle meat I thought were extremely high. Bought some nice brats and sausage that I thought was reasonable and it was great.

Dang it! theres a member here whos daughter/Son in law run a beef farm. Thought I had bookmarked it, guess I didnt. Veteran owned. They have a website.

I went ahead with Snake River Farms American Wagyu brisket. This is American Wagyu not purebred. I just went with convenience and a coupon code. I'll have to post the results when I cook it.

Sorry I missed this RG but glad you decided and found a coupon.
Now be sure to post your cook and result!

I've had one from certified piedmontese. Excellent cut. And delivered frozen and packed very well. I order from them often.
