My DIL sent me this, and i thought i would post it here. My boy got back couple months ago from Iraq. So she knows ALL about this.

Enjoy.

RECIPE FOR A MILITARY WIFE
1 1/2 cups of Patience
1 lb. Adaptability
3/4 cup Tolerance
1 tsp. Courage
A dash of Adventure
Combine above ingredients: add 2 tablespoons of elbow grease. Let sit alone for one year. Marinate frequently with salty tears. Pour off excess fat. Sprinkle lightly with money. "Knead" dough until payday. Season with international spices. Bake 20 years or until done.

Dedicated to military wives everywhere, who have waved "good-bye" more often than not, who have heated up more dinners than most wives cook, who have missed more anniversaries, Christmases and Valentineʼs Days than they should have, and most important have welcomed their husbands home gladly.

Nice I like it, I run a site for a bunch of guys that play call of duty 4/ online game and one of our guys is shipping out to the sandbox in two weeks. I got a nice lookin recipie from Guvna for jerkey and if my first attemp at it comes out okay ill be sending a big batch in a care box out there.

I will have to pass this along to my daughter. Her husband is in Afghanistan right now. Thanks

Has little to do with anything here... but I just had a former member of a special ops team stop in my office and share some stories... For those of us who were never in the military it was shocking. Thank God that there are those among us who will head the call of duty to make sure that the rest of us will never have to. My hats off, and sincere appreciation to the men and women of our armed forces. I couldn't do what they do, so thank God they can!
