Purchased the RT Stampede right before Christmas. Love this thing ( have only used a couple times due to crappy weather though). My alarm functions do not work. Called RT. And they were aware of issues with "some" not working due to technical problems. I would think if some aren't working, none would be. Are your alarms working ? ? ?
Also purchased the griddle grill and seasoned yesterday according to " their" You Tube video. I used Avocado oil which has a smoke point similar to grapeseed oil. It did not take very well at all. Can easily be rubbed off. Do I need to remove all the old seasoning ( and with what ), and start over? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

check out the rectec forum there may be more info there. Are you on apple or andoid? Initally (like months ago iphone had an issue, but they resolved with an app update. couple people on that thread are andoid users with issues.

I have seen no issues with iphone and app and alarms... Hope that helps a little. the other forum can be interesting, but I like it here more

I just got a Trailblazer back in November and have also been fighting with Mother Nature on using it like I want to. Looks like I'm going to have to break out the canopy some. Yeah, there have been issues with the alarms on the app. If you've been on the rectec forum, you will see there's been issues. I still love the ability to use the app wherever I am to check in on things while it's cooking.

I think the coating on your griddle is fine, at least in my opinion. I have a griddle grill that I use on top of my grill and it kind of did the same thing initially. I have used it so much though, it's all nice and sealed now. Fry up a bunch of bacon and it will be fine

RE: griddle - ant help much there...my pans I scour with steel wool and re-oil with vegi oil then reheat to ensure they are dry. not a believer in leaving the stuck on stuff on.

Android, uninstalled and re-installed. Same thing. I have checked out RT forum. Sounds like hit and miss there also. May need to call RT again to see if any new news on the tech side

season the griddle with cheap veggie oil, save the expensive stuff for cooking. I would think avocado oil with a high smoke point may not be the best for seasoning.

Their site says carbon steel. May have to clean best I can and re-do with veg or canola oil.
