My latest build. Please feel free to comment or make suggestions. I love to see from all views.
That thing is a beast! Not exactly portable but it sure looks like you designed it well.
Those extensions that go up above the doors, ... are they magnetic door holder openers?
edit: well I see from your next picture that they are mounted on the doors. Maybe a counter weight?
counterweights is correct. the steel is 3/8" thick . They were way too heavy to not have counterweight.
I like it, thats a really cool design.
Are you planning for a warm spot in the center or are you adding heat diffuser tubes from the firebox toward each end?
i haven't thought of that. I just have a damper plate on the inside.
looking good to me, nice work
WOW. What a beast. Can't wait to see it finished. Lookin great.
BTW......Nice job on the pipe bends for the counter weights.
I like it.
Nice job on the build... that is gonna be one heck of a smoker...
Thank you. Just layed first coat of high heat paint 15 seconds ago. will be posting more pics soon.
pit took 3/4 of gallon of high heat paint for the first coat.
Have you finished this build? This is exactly what I was planning on doing with mine. Did you just stick with the damper plate or did you add diffuser plates? Good looking build.
