Following up with my GE build, I have an interior height of 28.5 inches top to bottom.  I'm planning on going with an electric element in the bottom and put in a water tray 4 inches above that, leaving me @ 24 inches.  Thinking either space the racks at 4 inches or six inches.  Plan to use it for everything from cold smoking cheese to bologna/sausage.

Anyone have any input on the best spacing???  Is 4 inches too close?  Is 6 inches a waste of space?

Thanks

All about opinion on this subject. IMO, 4 is too close. 6 is as close as I would go.
