I checked the radar tonight and it was clear. Prepped some cheap chicken legs for my WSM. Fired up the smoker and we had some pretty nasty pop up storms. Got the smoker up to 170F and put the chicken on before the next wave of storms set in. It cruised from 170-190F for about 1 hr 30 min before I could get another load of charcoal in once the storms resided. It's now at 250 and holding. My question...will that 170-190 for 1 hr 30 min spoil the chicken or should I be OK? Don't want to eat them if they are going to be bad. Never had that happen with the WSM and couldn't get it under control. Thanks in advance!
