Questions about my OK Joe Highland

This is my 3rd smoke with my OK joe, and im noticing the paint flaking off.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is this normal? Or should I contact the manufacturer or repaint myself?

It is on the fire chamber, bottom and up top under the warming plate, even the vent door is completely void of paint now

Just keep a can of flat black high heat handy all the time. That's what I have seen other guys that have that and similar smokers do. Chinese paint I guess.

I had the same thing happened to me on my first smoke with a char-broil American deluxe so sent it back to Walmart and now saving for WSM 22
