I am going to do some ABT's sunday, About how long should I leave them in the smoker for.

Till the bacon is cooked to the desired amount. I usually do them 2- 2.5 hrs. Longer if you want the bacon crisper.

general rule, go to about 165 internal temp about 2.5 hours give or take

Seems like the longer I smoke them the less bite the peppers has. Leave a couple seeds if ya want a little zip to the Japs.

If you want more heat in them, take the seeds out but leave the vein in. Just my opinion.

We never could get the bacon to get as crisp as we wanted, so mainly use the gas grill now. 325º @ 45 minutes do them rather well. Add a foil packet of wood chips and they are fantastic
