OK this is the Q-View I promised from this weekend. I did not get any of the money shot but have plenty of Friends who did will defiantly post them when I get them. The story as most of you know is the original schedule only had five hours for spareribs when I went to the cooks table I found out it was going to be 6 1/2 hours for the ribs with the modifies schedule 4 hours for the chicken from the start of cooking. No garnish was allowed and the chickens had to be turned in as a half. 22 total teams if you count two teams that paid for double entries. We came in 3rd in ribs and I was told by a judge later we were top 10 chicken and top 10 beans. As a first cook off we did not expect any hardware and the fun we had meeting people and talking Que was worth the entry fee by itself. We will compete again and already have been invited to a few more but schedules may keep us out of commission for a month or two. I would say half the teams had corporate sponsors and we were one of two teams that did not have a trailer rig. The other had a Pitts and Spitts smoker though. After we got our trophy it was hard to load everything up due to all the questions we got about our smokers.
