Pulling trigger on MES 40

Going to pull trigger on MES 40 but wanted to make sure to avoid Gen II unit. Based on other threads I think this one


Is a gen I. Can someone confirm that before I lay down the cc? Thanks.

Hinges on the right, controller on the back.... Looks like a later Gen One to me.

No problem Jupiter Jack,  I hope you get as much enjoyment out of yours as I have mine.  I ran across the 30 inch version of that model the other day for $217.  But you need a military ID to shop in the PX annex, so most people can't get it for that price.  That, and my wife will hang me if I show up with one more grill/smoker.
