Took a pulled pork bag from the freezer.

Cooked a spaghetti squash as the side.

After scraping the strands, with no one watching, i added a spoon of lard to lubricate things.

Delicious mid week meal.

Yeah, looks good.

Man I have had some fun with those types of squash. You can literally fill it with raw meat and tomatoes and cook it through on the grill with indirect heat. Melt some cheese on top and wow...about the only way I like to consume veggies. I do the same with soft squash but using precooked "taco" meat.

Good times.

I could eat this suqash every day. The other ones are a bit too sweet for my taste, i still eat them ocasionally.

I like cooking the spaghetti squash just enough to be able to pull the strands. They are still crunchy, very mild in flavour but like a sponge with the flavours of meat, garlic, cheese....wahtever you add to them.

The bad news is i am running out. I can still find them in some stores, but they cost now 3x what they did in the fall.

Note to self: buy more this fall.

That looks pretty good. I like spaghetti squash stuffed with savory things. I work with a guy that likes them with butter and brown sugar. That doesn't sound so good to me. I'll try the pulled pork thank you very much.

Not a squash eater, but your plate looks great.

point for sure.

Chris

That's pretty neat. I see all kinds of different recipes using that type of squash. I find it to be as flavorful as some others but the look and texture is good to work with.
nice looking dish.
