Greetings experts. I know this subject has been brought up before. But I wanted to know if anyone with the Masterbuilt 44 Two door smoker has converted to NG? If so can you share exactly what steps you took?

To the SMF Vader. I am not familiar  with your type gas smoker. I would guess the only thing you would need to do is change out the gas orifice, if you have that opinion to do so on your cooker.

Propane burns hotter than natural gas so your gas office hole needs to be a little bigger in size to let more gas in for your air fuel mix, so your flame burns correctly. The wrong gas orifice and you will end up with a flame that gives off a shooty black carbon exhaust and you don't want that floating around in your smoker getting onto your product.

I would think you could contact the manufacturer and ask them direct if this gas conversion is an option for that model smoker?

Good luck and let us all know what you find out. Mike
