I have never used an electric smoker and was wondering why you use the pellets?

My mes came with a wood chip reloader on the side.

My mes came with a wood chip reloader on the side.

Allow me to explain:
All MES owners have tried using the built in Chip burner, and most found it to be close to useless.
You put the chips in, and once it starts smoking, it's too light, then it gets too heavy, then gets light again, then stops.
Then you put more chips in & it doesn't smoke until the smoker calls for heat, because the same heat that heats your smoker also burns your chips. Then it gets too heavy, then too light, then stops again, and the whole cycle starts all over again.

With an AMNPS (Amazing Maze) you fill it with Pellets, light it properly, put it in the smoker, and sit back & get up to 11 straight hours of perfect smoke without having to touch it.
