My wife made poutine for the first time this evening!

I used to get it at restaurants when I was a kid living in Canada, but this beat that by a long shot!

Quite simple really!

French fries.

Cheese curds.

Small chunks of roast beef.

Beef gravy. (Should be as hot as possible to help melt the cheese curds.)

And topped with fried onions!

Not as photogenic as some things, but man oh man! Was it ever good and I let her know that too!!

As always, thanks for looking!

God bless…

Looks great Mike, A little Canadian meal AH ! lol

looks good the way it is ( if you wanted a little more colour you can top it with some chives or green onions ) just saying. But i'm good with whay you have there.

I have gotten away from the curds and now just use a lot of shredded mozza on top before the gravy, wanted more of the cheese everywhere.

That’s a great idea! Thanks David!

NICE. OMG a poutine thread! Been sorta waiting to bone up on it before trying it. Let's talk gravy. it's supposed to be duck based right? IIRC the hack is duck fat and 50/50 chicken beef stock?
