Steve had mentioned these pork schnitzel from Aldi so I picked up a package. I had thought these would be precooked but they are raw. Made up some German red cabbage and potato salad. Thought about gravy but was not sure what to make. These where good. I will make some gravy next time.

Yum...I love German food!!!!

Brian, how did you cook the cabbage?
Meaning what did you season it up with?

My wife is 100% German, although she can't cook to save her @ss. LOL.

Her Mother made the best schnitzel I have ever had. Second best was a local restaurant called DJ's bistro which I just found out closed for good. I was so bummed because my birthday is in a few weeks and I wanted to go there, they had the best potato salad I have ever had,and great schnitzel , the amount of food they served was insane , I was in heaven as I am a big eater.
Bummer!!!

That plate shot looks killer, Id plow through that for sure .

I wish we had Alde's out here,I hear you guys talk about it all the time .

Dan

Looks good .
Frozen Schnitzel ? The Ninja with the grill plate set to air fry would be perfect for those .

Thanks Dan. I like a recipe that @Burlymanchef suggested but did not have any apples so I just winged this one. Here is that recipe: Red Cabbage

Looks great. I’d be all over that plate. Nice work.

Nice Brian, I am going to have to look if Aldi has these, where they in the freezer section? For red cabbage I just open a jar of Aunt Nellies and add some fresh pepper and it is good enough for me. Top it all off with a good German mushroom gravy.

great meal you made there! i love fritters/tenderloins. 2 of those plates there would do me. :)

make them at home easy peasy:
i take pork loin and slice 3/8 thick. toss in a ziplock and pound it out with mallet. dredge threw seasoned milk n egg mix then shake in famous andys breading and fry. quick easy and less chems in them that way. works with other critters too. try some slices of a deer roast like this some time! they go great with taters n gravy with eggs for breakfast.

Thanks. Sounds good.
Very nice meal Brian! I use this often for schnitzel.

Thanks Steve

If we don't use the packets I already posted. Then Ann will put some fresh mushroom in a frying pan with butter. Let it cook down until soft. Then add sour cream, pepper, and paprika, and a few cubes of beef stock. And simmer until the beef cubes fully dissolve.
