Pork, its not just a verb!

Long read....So I really wanted to salute our fallen this weekend, and the best way I know how, is to participate in our freedoms to the maximum!
So this weekend, we had an outing on Friday for my recently disabled wife. We ate out, then went and threw axes with a few friends. Saturday, we mostly hung at the house while I worked on my boat. The original plan was to grill steaks, but the boys had other plans and went to a rodeo.
Long story short, "we" didn't get up in time to make the trip to Erie Sunday morning. We then planned on a Monday trip which required me to rearranged the cooking schedule for the weekend, so we moved the steaks to Sunday night, and threw a pork butt on my new camp chef woodwind 24! at noon on Sunday. 13 hours later ....viola the best dam pulled pork I've ever experienced!

So did you not make the rodeo? It's one of the few sports left I can go to that's not all fascist propaganda and millionaire crybaby athletes.... so refreshing and Pro America.

Love the steaks but they look like they needed a better sear then again sometimes pics are deceiving :<). Thanks for sharing best wishes to you and the whole family.

The Rodeo comes to town even way up here , and I try to go every time. Last year my wife gave me tickets for my Birthday and she went with me. Now she wants to go again, she thought it would suck, but loved it.
When ever we get to Florida we find as many shows as we can to go to.

Thanks! The steaks were really good, first time using a pellet grill to make them. They were seared more than the pic shows, but not as much as I prefer. Learning process. My boys made the rodeo. We didn't go.
I thought I had posted more pics but my data was really sketchy where I was. I'll try again.
