Had a real nice day yesterday so we decided to do something on the Landmann GOSM. Our local store had the mega meat sale going on with a good price on country ribs. They were some nice meaty looking ribs with very little bone and just the right amount of fat so we snagged six pounds. I did a rub using a little Stubbs rub I had left miixxed with some Slap Yo Momma and brown sugar. I put them on at 2:00 PM with some hickory chunks at 225 deg. I don't know if it was the way the wind was blowing or what but the wood wanted to catch fire and was putting out way to much smoke. I pulled the flaming hickory out and put in a chunk of manzanita and things settled right down.
Ribs all rubbed down
After 45 minutes spritzed with apple juice-cream sherry mixture
After 2 hours ready to go in foil with Stubbs sauce & spritz
Finished product pulled off at 5:30
And the plate. Served with corn and black bean salad, zucchini casserole, and Alaskan Amber. The meat turned out super moist and tender and my sister's casserole went perfect with it. Thanks for looking.
