Hey Marine, thanks for the compliment. When you first do them, it is pretty intimidating just because it is such a long cook. And if you have a CG like me, you lose all kinds of heat without doing mods. Aside from that, PP is one of my favorite things to make. Good luck to you and happy smokin'!Wow! That looks great and I can't wait to try that out. Appreciate all the details you gave from start to finish.
Thanks Reinhard, I had a blast doing it!!You did a great job Smoke!!! Awesome bark also. Congrats on a great job!! Reinhard
who r u tellin?...haha. you can always fedex it!Too bad you arent closer TB, OK is a hike from here![]()
Absolutely, just need to find the time to get these mods done!Man I want one of those sandwiches. They look great. Been waiting to do a pork butt until next weekend, but those look great. Totally agree it's a long time with a chargriller but worth it. The mods are also a great idea.
I like your style Turn!who r u tellin?...haha. you can always fedex it!![]()
Thanks for the comp PG! As for the spritzing, guess it just comes down to personal preference. I have done it both ways, and really prefer the bark to have a nice acidic note to it instead of being dry. I cant complain too much, I did pretty decent on fuel......like everyone has said though, just need to get crackin on some mods! That is some great looking pulled pork!
I have a CG w/ SFB and know how frustrating they can be. Do yourself a favor and make as many mods as you can!
Also, you might consider skipping the spritzing in the future. All this does, IMO, is take heat away from the meat while you spritz, cause if you're lookin you ain't cookin, and spritzin is lookin. Just a thought.
Good luck
Bill
