Hi all! Been lurking around here for awhile, love the advice. Got a butt on that will be done in a few hours and wanted to know if anyone had a bbq sauce based finisher.

Cheers, Agent_Smoker

Are you thinking about an Eastern N. Carolina finishing sauce? ACV/apple juice/crushed red pepper? I use that a lot.

I'm looking for something more on the sweet side, the ladies don't like the smoky/spice 😅

Thanks man, I'll check it out

Not bbq sauce based, but my go to for pulled pork finishing sauce. I forget who originated it, but the recipe can be found on the site.

1c cider vinegar
2 tbs. brown sugar
1 tsp Tony's cajun seasoning
1 tsp coarse black pepper
1 tsp red pepper flakes

I like this one, might just add a bit of honey for sweetness and let you guys know how it goes

Finishing Sauce For Pulled Pork By Soflaquer is what I have been using for years. Never had any complaints, but have had a lots of compliments.

Same here.

Yep...Been using it for years and still get "best I've ever tasted" every time. Just goes to show that simple things, done well, can make the difference between OK and Incredible!!

I’ve always used JJ’ finishing sauce. I make two one with his recipe and one the same but with more cayenne pepper for spicier

I like using Chef Jimmy's Lexington dip spin on his finishing sauce. Adds a little ketchup. I add more ketchup than it dalls for and extra sweetener too to get a sweet tangy red thin sauce.
