I usually use straight Hickory sometimes a combo of Hickory and Cherry
If using apple do you actually get any taste of it while smoking with a heavy flavor like hickory?

I have already cast my vote for the poll. Which was hickory, but the last time I smoked them I mixed maple and hickory.

I use a bit of two usually tho. I will do a round of hickory, but mainly apple. And maybe pecan, now that I have some :{)

I like to use a combo of hickory and mesquite. about 2/3 hickory and 1/3 misquite.

I dont do spares, but if i did i might try pine, wolminized preferably.

I can only vote one so Hickory is 1st choice, But I mix most time with pecan or Mesquite

do them with both somtimes all 1 or somtimes a combo-hickory early than apple to finish-like straight hickory or apple-somtimes the womanfolk turn there nose on Hickory smoked-But apple is OK. I a woodworker- I like to play with my wood.
