Dehydrating some poblano to make them into ancho for a recipe i have soon.

Drying whole after cleaning them off.

Did you roast them or peel them?

I think he is drying as is to make ancho, but if he roasted and peeled them first, then dried, this would be a whole nother level of flavor.
 
No need to take the skin off before dehydration.

I dry chilis the old dego way, which is lacing them onto a piece of twine then haninging them in the water heater closet for a month.

I haven't done pab's yet, but I do smoke then hang jalapenos every year.

I meed to dry some pab's, that sounds really good. Yum!!!
