PLEASE TELL ME THIS ISNT GALVANIZED!

So i hired a welder to come out tomorrow and spot weld some C chan onto my OK joe and make 2 grates with angle iron. 
I bought this steel from a metal works company here in baltimore. I said plain steel for a food smoker. they cut it and put it in my car. this evening i took it out and looked at it up close.. and it doesnt look like plain black steel to me. is this galvanized?

Looks like regular steel to me  see the rust

yeah theres rust where there are 2 long scratches down the inside. close up it looks like grey paint, then i was liek WAIT GAV is grey! o crap!

Looks like non galv steel. Your welder guy can confirm it when he gets there.

I work with other steel everyday and my wife sells it We both looked at it and it is mild steel angle iron just what u need in a smoker. Go for it
