Another Rec Tec'r here. I LOVE my Bull. I also have the SmokeDaddy Magnum PIG on my Bull which I just used yesterday to make chicken.

I bought Rec Tec Bull for many reasons but thought it was the best bang for your buck. You can get better like Mak and Memphis supposedly(zero experience with them - just based off reading) and would never knock Yoder but I looked away because they are likely to rust within a year and I knew mine would be on my deck and would get wet.

I'm just about at a year with my Bull and still use it all the time. The 6 year warranty and amazing customer service is a huge plus also.

i highly recommend MAK. i bought a 2star last year after comparing various others to the 5+yr old mak a friend has.

agreed they certainly can be, i originally was looking at gmg/rectec/grilla/yoder however having had a chance to check them all out as well as testimonials from mak owners convinced me it was worth it though certainly more than i had originally planned on.

biggest things for me were that i found far less people with issues with the mak, no mention of rust and having to paint, the few people that did have problems seemed to all get them solved with 1 call and the issue did not recur.

I've been with MAK since 2014 and have not had a problem. The research I did then reveals the same as today. It's very difficult to find anyone with negative comments regarding the MAK. If finances are in play, look at the 1-Star which you can upgrade to many of the features offered in the 2-Star down the road if desired.
