Pizza Stone, Heat Sink?

I have some large bricks around my house and the property, Is there a reason I should put them in the over as a pizza stone? I would acid wash it and cover in foil.

Also Now I am thinking since it fits the MES30 perfectly wouldn't it make a great heat sink. Course it would have to go on the floor in the drip pan I guess.

I have no idea what they are/were used for other than possibly the fireplaces. I know, sorta stupid to have fireplaces in Louisiana, A/C makes better sense! BUT my house is like 150 years old so it has fireplaces.

Wrapped in foil they may be safe, lots of bricks contain Lead

If they aren't made for fireplace/high heat they could explode. I would try heating them in an open fire beforw putting them in your smoker
