What are you seeing for pellet sales. Lowes has Pit Boss Competition Blend 40-lb Wood Pellets for $12. Thinking of trying them? I normally use Lumber Jack but lately I been cleaning out my closet of others I had bought and as long as use the low smoke or smoke tube they been OK.

Sams has Kingsford Original Charcoal Briquettes, 2-Pack, 20 lbs. for $20 but not sure if I will ever use Kingsford again after using B&B orange bag get from Walmart for $10.

Would love to find a decent local sale on LJ or BM fruitwood pellets. I have just enough each of apple and cherry to fill a few more tubes of each.

I found pitboss pellets to be almost smokeless, pellets don't give off gobs of smoke at the best of times, but those were zero smoke. Good heat but defeats the purpose.

Just my experience

Man I cant get cherry to burn in tubes. Even the cherry chips give me a problem. I gave up.

We do but nothing in stock as far as apple or cherry goes.
Not sure how much you want but you typically get free ship to store when out of stock but you have to buy like 3 or more. Got a Rural King?

Thank you for posting this, if you haven't I would not have known of the deal. I just ordered 180lbs of pellets shipped to my door for $75. I am beyond stoked!

Thanks again.

It’s a good place to keep an eye on. I bought a month or so ago and posted it somewhere here but the deal was buy 1 get 1 so it was better then but this is still pretty good.

So what are you using that satisfies your "gobs of smoke" amount ?

I've never had any issues with Pit Boss pellets, and I've used a lot. Good smoke from the tube and fire pot.

If you watch a few YouTube videos on pellets, you'll find out that they are one of the biggest scams on the market.

So many use cheap filler woods, oils for flavoring (which burn off in the first 30 minutes of cooking), or worse. Examples:
Traeger - their mesquite pellets were 100% alder or oak, with mesquite oil added to them. Same with hickory. Other pellets had less than 1/3 the wood on the package. Traeger paid $1.5 million in a class action lawsuit.
Pit Boss - 75% cheap filler wood on their varieties.
Most all discount pellets sold at Walmart, Home Depot, etc.

Lumber Jack - 100% of the wood stated on the label. However they sold out to Lignetics, so quality may go down.
Cookin Pellets - No oak or alder, no additives, no fillers.
Jersey Devil - Proprietary blend of cherry, maple and hickory. No fillers, chemicals, oils, binders.

I use Cookin Pellets and Jersey Devil. No complaints.
