We have not done a pork butt in a while so I grabbed one on my way home Friday. No bone in at the store so I grabbed the last boneless they had.
Started out having my best helper Ryder rub it down with his favorite rub. He sure does a great job!
Got the UDS going with some cherry. Kepping temp around the 240°-270° range. It was a bit windy so it fluctuates a little bit on my drum.
Here it is at the 6hr mark. Looking real good!
I got a foil pan out and a cooler ready for when it comes out.
Finally got it pulled off the drum just over the 14hr mark.
Covered with foil and wrapped in a towel before tucking it away in the cooler. Should stay good and hot until dinner time.
Ok so I forgot to take a picture after I pulled it but I did get a picture of my sandwich. Topped with some coleslaw and Carolina sauce.
Also had some homemade mac n cheese thats not pictured to go along with it. Was a long cook but it was worth it. And now I have leftovers to use in some other dishes. Thanks for taking a look!
