Finally cold enough to make Chili. Last year I made some OTT Chili and turned out pretty good. Thought give it another try. I had combined Jake's and someone else recipe than used Chimayo and Ancho for the chili powders. Turned out good again. Jake's chili one of the best I have done. I really miss having him around. Here is his recipe: Jake Chili

Mmmm, love me some smoked Chile and yes please on the bean addition. That Chimayo Chile makes the difference, man that stuff is good.

That looks delicious Brian. I've got to try this over the top method and I've also started using some dried chili's of different varieties in my chili. It's hard to beat a bowl of red on a cold day!

Thanks Eric. Like I said that I ordered so more. Price for 14 oz was $25 but the shipping was $13 which made it kind of high but it has great taste. I just used a Tbsp of Chimayo and 1/2 Tbsp of Ancho and a great chile flavor.
I'll have to get some of that chile powder. Yours looks great. It's chili weather here for sure
Thanks Jeff. My oldest brother lost his house in Fl and staying in mt parents old house in Hart Michigan. Sounds like getting a ton of snow.
Looks great- pass the Fritos please
Thanks. There will be frito pie in the future.

A friend of mine introduced me to OTT chili a couple years ago. Pretty cool method. And your chili looks excellent 👍
Thanks John. It a good method.

Some good looking chili Brian. I'll have to give that recipe a try.

Point for sure
Chris
