I just ordered a Open Country digital scale from Cabelas. It weighs up to 150 lbs in ounces, and can be tared to zero. It shows it with a meat lug and the display connected to a cord that is separate. It is priced at $69.99. Anybody have or try one of these? The price seems reasonable to me. Thought it would be great fro doing deer meat for sausage etc,

MossyMo,

I think your right it appears like they are the same unit. Probably came from the same Manufacture

Great Buy! That will serve you well, and the fact that you can switch to metrics and weigh in grams is even better! I measure all my seasonings by grams as it's a smaller unit of measurement and more accurate! You found a fantastic treasure! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING better than a good digital scale! Points if I can give 'em!

the one on ebay looks like a good deal and the seller seems to be a scale pro. I would try that one over cabela's. Let us know how it turns out.

I got the one from Cabelas yesterday. It has only a 9 volt battery to run it, but If I can find a 9 volt plug in transformer one it has a spot for it. Iplayed with a little it appears like it will be handy to use. I will post when I get a chance to really give it a test.
