Still good at that temp . Smoke on a hunk of beef like that go good together . Great crust on the outside . More great meals to come from that

Yeah, it's not like I was going to cut it into tiny piece and give it to Bob. I like end cuts and that's another thing I learned yesterday, I'll take the end slices off as soon as I bring the roast back into the kitchen and then let the remainder sit and rest. Thanks for the Like Rich, I appreciate it. RAY

One of the best runaways I have ever seen. Plate please. . .

I didn't miss it by much, but it started climbing faster than I've seen before, I'm guessing a four pounder is going to climb a lot faster than a seven or eight. It was a real good learning experience for heat controlling a Weber Thanks for the Like Winterrider, I do appreciate it. RAY

Agree with everyone else here. This looks like a great meal even if it got a bit away from you!

Actually the baked potato was a real treat for me. I think they are about the best side one can have with prime or a steak but I seldom eat them these days due to all the carbs and the fact I like to dress them up with lots of butter and sour cream. I tend to eat yams instead as I've have low potassium and they have more flavor with less butter. RAY

Yep, I agree with the rest. Even though it more done that you like I would definitely eat a big plate of that! BIG LIKE! John

Thanks John, I'm thinking what's left might be around just long enough for a pack of chicken thighs to thaw out, or maybe a corned beef. Thanks for the Like John, mucho appreciendo! RAY

Ray, I'd still eat that no matter what.

Oh me too, and it was close, but no cigar. I remember on Christmases when I was younger after my older sister married she decided it was time for her to take over the holiday meal. She'd make Yorkshire pudding and do a prime in the oven, always pull it at 140º, there was always silence at the table as we watched it being cut into. In 1977 I took over that Xmas and did my first prime on the Weber, pulled at 125º. Papa said at the table I was in charge of Xmas dinner from then on. Thank you for the Like SHS, I truly do appreciate it. RAY
