A friend of mine from Hawaii goes to NOLA for a 2 week festival every year. He stopped by this past week and brought me a chub of Wayne Jacobs old fashioned Andouille from Laplace, LA.

Good stuff.

Probably Jazz Fest!!   Great time if you love music and when it rains playing in the mud.  Jacob's is one of the more well know sausage makers in the area.  I believe they where the people on Alan Brown's show where the camera guy dressed up in the Sausage costume and danced on Airline Hwy

My wife bought some of this the other day when I said, "I want to try something different". I am not a Chicken Sausage fan but this is probably the best Grocery store bought sausage I have ever had...JJ

That's good to know!
I've avoided buying and trying Aidells because it's so blasted expensive! :icon_eek:
Maybe I'll give it a try.

Yeah Martin, That pack of 4 was $6 but it was very tasty. I had his Cajun Style Andouille and thought is was Ok but no where near as good as these...JJ

I agree on both. I've had both and the chicken G was pretty tasty. The cajun wasn't worth it, cost wise,  to me either.
