A probably 15 year old CharGriller with the firebox added on a few years after getting it. No clue what model but definitely the lower end of the spectrum.I may have missed it but what do you have now?
Can you advise what product you used for the stack extension? Like the size/store/brand ? Would be a huge help! For me being in Hawaii it was a no brainer as Home Depot shipped to my local store for free and I just had to go pick it up. Shipping for me is a killer if I was to have a smoker shipped to me. almost doubles the cost. I know it has to be put together but it was not that hard and actually bolts up very solid.
Another thing I did was cut a piece of expanded metal I got from work to fit the FB. I place it on top of the fire basket if I want to grill something. I have smoked TRITIP roasts and flank steaks and then reversed seared them over the fire. Not a dedicated FB grill like the wrangler but it works just fine. After a year of solid use it is still in great shape and I expect to have years of use out of it.

My XD with stack extension. Guys also do this on the Old Country pits.
For my Wrangler, I bought a $12 / 6”Stove pipe from Lowes and just cut a notch so it will slip over the stack damper and use a large hose clamp to hold in place. Works fine. Can you advise what product you used for the stack extension? Like the size/store/brand ? Would be a huge help!
Sorry @deebo1982 Just saw this. It was a stove pipe from Lowes. 5" diameter and 24' length I think. I cut it down to make a total length of 40" when attached to my exhaust. Read somewhere Franklin BBQ recommends stack to be the same length as the Cook chamber, seems to work for me. I just notched it to fit over attachment for my exhaust cover. It just slips right in to my exhaust and I don't attach it with any hose clamp. Remove it when not in use and store in cook chamber. Can you advise what product you used for the stack extension?
