Hello everyone! So I am in Houston on buisness and my hotel is next door to an Academy store. I went in to buy the OK Joe Smoker but came across an Old Country BBQ Pit they have for sale and was wondering if anyone has any experience with these? Its made of 1/4 inch steel, has an upper and lower cooking grate, has what looks like a baffel built in and the smoke stack comes ou the side so it is level with the lower grate.

The fire box is welded on and it seems to be pretty well built. I am very tempted to buy te smoker and ship it back home to AZ. Attached is the website of the manf but the 20 inch pit is $499 at Academ- just under half the cost as posted on the website.

Its the last one on the page. Backyard BBQ Pit 20 inch

If I buy the OK Joe smoker I would prob need to mod it with baffel and bring down the smoke stack right?

Thanks for any input!

For a 1/4" thick smoker that sounds like a great price but I've never seen one
