EDIT: Sorry for the duplicate post. Please reply to this post instead of the other. Trying to get the other deleted. Thanks :)

I have the opportunity to get an Old Country All American grill for free. My biggest concern with it is rust on the fire box. It is 2 years old and only used once. I will upload a picture of the grill. Is this that big of a concern? Is it something that I could fix with a little bit of elbow grease?

If this smoker is only two years old, the rust can't possibly be bad enough to be a problem. Just a bit of work and some high temp paint and you should be good to go.

If that smoker has been left in the weather uncovered, rust is to be expected on the firebox from the heat generated. As mentioned, you can wire brush that rust off and repaint it with high heat paint and be good to go. Can't beat a free smoker thats well built!

Get a wire wheel for a drill motor. It won't take long.
