This is a link to a website I created during the October Winter Storm in Buffalo, NY, in 2006. We normally have temps in the 60's and 70's at this time of the year. Most of the trees still had leaves, and the snow was so heavy that many, many branches broke from the weight of the wet snow. One of the stacks on my smoker was ripped off by a branch as documented. The cleanup goes on as fatally injured trees are still being cut down at this time. My smoker (Big Baby) has been repaired and lives on, and on, and on....

bearmoe--what a storm, huh....convinced me to buy a 7500 watt diesel generator after losing power for 9 days.....crazy weather....

Yes sir, that looked to be a mess alright! We also have a generator, plenty of spare gas, lanterns, campin gear and food settin round to try and get through them little "mother nature" tantrums. Weather is gettin crazyier all the time. Be gettin yerself ready while the days are nice, winters gonna return. Be safe and enjoy while ya can.
