Hi folks!  I'm Dinah from Tennessee.  Just bought my first electric smoker and tried it the first time over the weekend.  I cooked 6 turkey legs, a 2 or 3 pound pork loin and a small whole chicken.  May have cooked it a little too long as the loin was a bit dry but had a great smoke flavor.  I used hickory.

Anxious to learn a lot from you seasoned pros!!

I also live a low carb lifestyle.  Good meats are a very big part of that.

I have a group on FB called I love Low Carb where we share tons of great recipes. there is a sister group called Smokin' Low Carb that is mostly about grilling and smoking.  So between this forum and those groups I'm gonna learn a LOT!!

Planning on doing a ham and a turkey in the smoker for Thanksgiving.  and I'm nervous! LOL!!!!

Thanks for letting me join the fun here.

OH and I got the Masterbilt 4 shelf smoker with the window, light and remote from QVC.  So far I really like it, but I have to figure it out! haha  Learning curve!
