I was sitting here thinking, ( never a good sign. ) I have a bag of Pecan wood pellets that I use mixed 1/2 and 1/2 with wood chips in my smoke daddy.

Pecan being a nut I wonder if pecan smoke would be harmful to people who are allergic to nuts.

Anybody have any info on this?

My initial answer would be "no" since allergies are usually triggered by the protein complex molecules which aren't present in smoke.

I would speculatively say no. My wife is pretty allergic to apples but food smoked with apple wood has no ill effect. She is also allergic to some nuts when raw but has never had anaphylactic reactions.
