Novice smoker

Hi folks,

Richard here from Dublin, Ireland.

I am a novice smoker using a 57cm WSM. I also have a standard Weber 57cm kettle grill. The weather here can prove difficult for smoking 12 months of the year. I bought my WSM 4 months ago and I love it.

Looking forward to getting some helpful tips from you guys

Hello and Welcome to our addiction.  Many good folks here with a load of experience that they are more than willing to share.  If you have specific questions just start a thread and someone with experience will be along soon to offer advice.  All info you can provide us with such as smoker type, location and so on will help us answer any questions you may have, and pictures help a bunch.  Spend some time doing some research on the forums, tons of advice and recipes already available there.  Check out Jeff’s 5 day smoking E-Course ( link below ) that will help you get started.  Couple other good threads to help you get started included.  We look forward to your contributions.  Have fun.  Good luck.  Keep Smokin!

Hi Richard - Welcome to the forum. Just remember that smoking IS an all year event and it is the responsibility of every one of us to strive to overcome the challenges of our weather 

It is great to see you on here and I hope that we will be able to help you with some good pointers and advice. I am sure that we will also benefit from your experiences as well so please do share them with us. 

Steve (Smokin Monkey) has already mentioned the UK group. If you get the time please introduce yourself there too. Everything posted there is visible in the main forum when people check for New Posts but it is an area of the forum that is more tuned to the challenges that we face with our hobby in Europe.
