Don't get to see this to often around here. So I figured I'd share. Got a pretty good show tonight.

I saw a post from someone local here, I missed them, but they were quite bright.
My Son stationed in Alaska sent some pics early this morning, they get them all the time but he said they were the best he has seen since he's been up there. Was almost as bright as daylight...

The wife was trying to see that after seeing numerous Fakebook posts. Downside to living surrounded by our forest...we dont see much horizon! Didn't catch anything straight up either last night.

Can’t help with the trees, but one trick that makes an enormous difference is looking through the camera on your phone, or other digital camera. The low-light capabilities really make the auroras stand out. We weren’t impressed by what we saw with the naked eye, but the digital photos turned out great.

Amazing sights. I got nothing like that in my sky but have a great lake view and my fire pit with a glass of found north batch 9 whiskey i happened across today. That is the stuff i miss abt CO.
