Greetings all!

Relative smoking noob here. I've done some very simple, basic smoking in the past on my old Weber grill (coals & chips on one side, meat on the other), but I've finally decided to take the dive into a dedicated smoker.

I haven't decided on which one, yet (gotta be cheap, because I have no money), but I'm pulling the trigger on one in the next couple of days so I can get started with my first smoke this weekend. Right now my friends are tugging me back & forth between the MES & the Bradley, and I can't decide.

Either way, I'm sure I'll have some questions for the fine community here and, hopefully, some pictures to post of my handiwork!

Just wanted to say Hi before I go on my way!

I'm also in VA (Roanoke area). I have a Bradley Electric. I've basically given up on the biscuit burner and am only using the AMNPS. The Bradley does a good job of regulating heat, but there is more variation front to back/top to bottom than I would like.
