Hi all, another new guy here from western Canada. I thought it was about time I joined, I started smoking a few months back on my Weber Genesis, and after several good results decided to upgrade to a Weber Smokey Mountain 18.5". Just finishing up my first dry run, I was pretty amazed to see that it ran all night without losing it's temp. Anyway, I joined last night when I wasn't sure that it was burning properly and after a few helpful responses was sent over here to say hi, so... Hi!!

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
because their are so many different ways to make great Q...
Happy smoken.

Hey Ryan, you are going to love your new WSM. I took weeks to search all the pros and cons of many different smokers...ended up choosing the WSM and never looked back!

Welcome from the other side of the country! :)

I know the WSM was the right choice, a few extra sheckles, but well worth it in the long run. After owning a Genesis grill and experiencing the Weber quality, there was no way I could go with anything else.

Hello  Ryan, and welcome to the forum, from a sunny and hot East Texas. You will find lots of great information and good people here.
