There are probably a thousand nearly identical standard beef rub recipes, and probably a thousand more non-standard ones. Here's my non-standard one:

Garlic powder 3 Tbsp.
Crushed black mustard 2 Tbsp.
Fine ground coffee 2 Tbsp.
Ancho chile powder 2 Tbsp.
Cracked black pepper 2 Tbsp.
Ground rosemary 1.5 Tbsp.
Ginger powder 1 Tbsp.
Onion powder 1 Tbsp.
Chipotle chili powder 1 tsp.
Jamaican allspice 1 tsp.

Never saw black mustard before. This might be worth a try.

I've never heard of black mustard. Where can a person get that? Oh, and is the coffee decaf?:emoji_laughing:

I get the black mustard from my local Indian grocery. Yes, I use decaf, lol. Besides, caffeine is bitter, so the decaf probably tastes a little better.

Also, black mustard is milder than regular mustard and has a different flavor.
